Commemoration of the 1994 Rwanda Genocide against the Tutsi was organized by the UN Resident Coordinator, in collaboration with the Rwandan Community in Mauritius. The event was held on Wednesday 25 April 2018 at Hennessy Park Hotel, Ebene and was graced by the Honourable Maneesh Gobin, Attorney-General, Minister of Justice, Human Rights and
Institutional Reforms.
1994 Genocide against the Tutsi in Rwanda and highlighted some of the ways in which Rwandans have been working to address their past and build a brighter future.
A moment of silence was observed, followed by a Candle Lighting Ceremony in remembrance of the victims of the 1994 Rwanda Genocide against the Tutsi.
